Patented Slam Latch

The Pioneer®, a heavy duty ductile iron frame and hinged grate is typically installed in high traffic areas. Our patented slam latch closure feature prevents the grate from opening inadvertently.

Self Wedge Seating

The Pioneer® self wedge seating allows
traffic to push the grate into the frame. This
feature helps prevent the grate from rocking. 
 

The lightweight grate opens to 115° and removes at 90°. The options offered are special lettering and a 2, 3, or 4 flanged design.
