EJIW Detectable Warning Plates
EJIW’s Detectable Warning Plates are made from durable cast iron, designed to withstand rigorous urban conditions. Cast iron is inherently resistant to corrosion from elements, lasting for many years without further maintenance. The plates are cast with a slip resistant surface and the natural iron visually contrasts with the adjoining walkway.
EJIW DWPs are ideal for newly constructed pedestrian ramps. In addition, they can be retrofitted into older curb ramps by cutting out the existing concrete. Installation is quick and easy. The plates are set into newly poured concrete and are mechanically secured ensuring a strong bond attachment over the life of the sidewalk. Work can be performed by curb and gutter, sidewalk and flat work contractors without any special training.
EJIW's truncated dome sizing and spacing are in compliance with ADA Accessibility Guidelines for Detectable Warnings.
